6 Month Old German Shepard/Lab mix

Max is a six month old neutered male german shepard mix. We do not know what mix he is, maybe lab? He was adopted 4 months ago from lee county. My husband and I are starting a family and we are unable to keep him cause he does not do well with children. He would do best in a home where he has room to run perferably a fenced in yard. He is great with other dogs and he loves to chase kitties and rabbits.He is very high-spirited, loyal and protective. The ideal home for him would have no kids older ones who are mature are ok due to the fact he is very timid and uneasy around smaller children. He was brought to lee county as a stray and he is believed to have an abusive past, so he has some trust issues with people, but given time and patience he has come around quite a bit and I am sure he will for you. He loves his belly scratched and to give huggs and kisses. He is utd on his shots and he has a health insurance plan in which I think I am able to transfer to a new owner. (16.95 mo) or it can be cancelled. He is in great health, but he needs some basic training once he has that I think he will be a great watch dog. He does know sit, give paw,down,no,outside and a few others. He comes with his crate if you choose to keep him inside. He is still working on potty training, and has come a long way with that also, but he does have an occasional accident.

We are really upset about having to get rid of him, but we feel he would be happier with someone else and he does not deserve the shelter again, they'd just put him down. This dog is NOT FOR FIGHTING OR ABUSING nor is he for moving home to home he deserves a forever home that will give him love and companionship. SERIOUS INQUIRES ONLY!! Common courtsey would be to just simply say i am not interested. Max needs a good home not just inquires of people who are not serious and want to waste my time. This affects my puppy and no one thinks about that, he is the one who needs a home and soon. So please only serious people who want to help me save my puppy can contact me. I do not want to bring him to the shelter, they'll just put him down and he does not deserve that, he is a good dog that has a lot to offer who just needs a chance in this world at a happy life.
